Item Description
Here is a truly amazing series of four double-sided cello ribbon badges promoting the State of Maryland at four expositions 1895 through 1904. Each is about 3.5" long. The first is missing its bar pin and ribbon back names maker Torsch & Lee. On the next two, name changes to Torsch & Minks. Fourth has no maker's name. Reverses of first three include the words "Commemorating Maryland Day" while the last lists "Maryland Commissioners To The Louisiana Purchase Exposition." Dates and expo names for the first three are: December 6, 1895 Cotton States And Industrial Exposition Atlanta; July 10, 1901 Pan-American Exposition, Buffalo and April 22, 1902 South Carolina, Interstate And West Indian Exposition, Charleston. First has 1" line of silver luster off rim from 3-4:30 and second cello is a little tanned compared to the others, but overall VF to Exc. and extremely limited issues.
