2.5" tall aerial view of an  airplane shaped copper badge with text "National Air Races/ Yuma Arizona/ 1928". Planes in Classes A-B-C left Roosevelt Field, NY Sept 6, 1928 headed to Mines Field in LA with the winner's time of  26.5 hours ( over 5 days) clocked by Earl Rowland. Lindbergh was among the greeters.  This pin was specifically made as a souvenir of the stop in Yuma, one of numerous check points across the country. Unusual and Exc.
