Item Description
Lot of three, 2" to 2.25" tall. Made in Japan, 1930s. Included are two matched Mickey and Minnie Mouse die-cut celluloid figures. Both are mounted on black oval celluloid bases. Backs have cream-colored celluloid tabs which spread apart to allow the insertion of a name card for use in designating seating positions at a table. Scarce, especially w/Mickey's thin tail intact. Lightly aged but o/w NM. Third card holder depicts Mickey holding a one-stringed instrument and rather than a single celluloid figure, this is a two-piece figure w/separate head attached to body. Underside of base is marked "Made In Japan" and has WDE copyright label. Reverse of instrument has small celluloid tab to allow insertion of card. Exc. A bit more elaborate in design than usually found.
