Item Description
21.25x28.25" poster for 1893 comedy/drama stage play written by Charles E. Callahan. Great stone lithography by The Enquirer Job Printing Co. of Cincinnati, OH features young woman cowering on the ground as older woman approaches w/raised stick as young man tries to stop her. Text at bottom reads "'Don't Kill Me, Mammy!'" Poster was not folded and has been linen-mounted w/some restoration/repainting to margins, including repairs to a few tears and margin fill-ins. Upper right of image area has 1" spot of restoration and lower right has repair to 2.75" tear that extends into Mammy's skirt w/.25x.5" area of her skirt professionally replaced. As linen-mounted, poster displays Exc. w/strong color.
