Item Description
23.5x33" for the 1960 Löwen Film German re-release of Alfred Hitchcock's 1940 adaptation of Daphne de Maurier's book of the same name, starring Sir Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine, both who are pictured in striking newspaper design. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted and has had some color touch-ups along fold lines w/some restoration at fold crease intersections. Top center has had some additional color touch-up to crease by center vertical fold line. Top margin has some airbrushing at center and right corner. Of note, there has been some restoration at Olivier's lips and there has been a color touch-up added to vertical splits on Fontaine's forehead and edge of Olivier's cheek. These areas originally had tape repairs, which have been removed, remnants of which are only visible under blacklight. Poster remains very clean overall and displays Exc. as linen-mounted.
