Item Description
49.25x79.25" for the original release of the 1943 Republic Western directed by Elmer Clifton and starring Don "Red" Barry, Lynn Merrick, William Haade, Emmett "Pappy" Lynn and Herbert Rawlinson. As w/all three sheets, this poster is more than one piece, resulting in some uneven margins, but images line up nicely for the most part. Nice stone lithography by Morgan Litho. Corp. of Cleveland, OH features Barry at center, fighting two men as Merrick looks down on him and posse on horseback advances from upper left. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted and has moderate restoration, w/a few areas of margin edge filling (largest being .25x.75" at lower left), and three .5x1" areas that have been replaced/touched-up; middle of "Cheyenne" in title, on Barry's neck and to left of posse at upper left. Pin holes at corners and along margins, which have had some touch-ups. Margins also have scattered tears, w/area at upper left margin showing moderate tearing. Bottom center has large area of faint moisture staining. VG overall, but still displays nicely as linen-mounted.
