Original 2-3/8x4.5x7/8" deep cardboard box w/Tom Mix photo portrait on lid contains 2" dia. silver luster case pocket watch. Ingersoll, 1934. Lid has repeated photo on underside and box comes w/aged guarantee paper. Lid has two corner splits and .5" side panel tear. Two spots of moisture staining to lid. VG/Fine overall. Box is exceedingly rare, this the first example we've ever offered. Back of watch case has "Always Find Time For A Good Deed - Tom Mix" incised inscription surrounded by lasso design. Silver luster shows trace surface wear w/small spots of brass underneath showing at lasso border corners. Luster remains near complete on rest of case. Small hairline on case just below number "7" on dial. Fine/VF. Watch dial has full color image of Tom Mix on rearing Tony, lassoing small animated steerhead second hand disc. Watch has its correct bright yellow hands. Dial is bright, clean and Exc. Running. Comes w/period leather strap/fob w/metal buckle and cast metal horseshoe. Straps shows some lt. wear from use. One of the rarest and most sought after character/personality timepieces, we have only offered three examples in our 51 years, and this is the first complete w/box.
