Item Description
10.75x11.5x5-5/8" tall wooden piano w/13 numbered keys under closing lid, ten of which still play. Made in Japan as noted by stamp on underside, ©1933 Gene Byrnes. Label on top measures 1x4.25" and has some scattered flaking. Hinged lid opens to reveal a 1.25x5.75" decal w/singing "Reg'Lar Fellers" strip characters and text that reads "Aggies Grand Piano" (a reference to Aggie Riley, who is pictured on decal), though part of "Aggies" is obscured. Creator Byrnes' facsimile signature at lower right. Several keys have ink marks. Original finish has a few scuffs on top. Fine. Very rare and esoteric comic character item. First we've seen in our 51 years.
