11.25x14.25x1-5/8" deep box w/wonderfully illustrated lid contains complete parts for Blue Ribbon Books set, ©1933. Box is complete w/insert and lid has slight fade to orange side panels and just lt. wear at corners and along edges. Insert holds metal tube of glue, paint brush, scissors, sealed envelope of paper fasteners and attached cardboard palette w/ten paint tabs. Sheet of green cellophane used to contain the four included books has large split separating it, but o/w contents are VF to NM w/just some scattered lt. aging. Books that could be assembled include - "Mickey Mouse At The Zoo, Mickey Mouse Playing School, Mickey Mouse's Garden" and "Mickey Mouse At Play". Each comes w/full color, stiff paper cover; of which "Mickey Mouse At The Zoo" has been folded for display purposes as issued. Each book comes w/full color sheet of character images of Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Pluto that were meant to be cut out and pasted onto indicated areas in book illustrations. Each book also contains b/w illustrations that were meant to be painted w/enclosed supplies. All remain unused and NM. This is among the rarest of any 1930s Disney books, w/few known examples, let alone complete and unused as offered here. First boxed example we've offered in our 51 years.
