Item Description
The premium itself is 1.25" tall. Made of heavy brass die-cut as a flowing American flag. Front with rwb enamel paint. Reverse has bar pin and circular tube stamped with Statue Of Liberty image. Tube serves as compartment to hold thin paper with title text of "Captain Midnight's Pledge To The Flag." This 3.5" thin paper is rarely seen as they were so often quickly destroyed. All like this have original fold lines and tiny wrinkles from being rolled small enough to fit into the .25" tube opening. Has tiny partial split on center fold and multiple but tiny paper pieces off the left and right sides. Lightly signed in pencil by the original owner. Reverse shows eight colonial era flags and explains the meaning behind the American flag designs. Pledge is VG. Badge has bit of brass luster loss. VF.
