Item Description
2.5x8x8" tall painted cast iron bank by Sheppard Hardware Company of Buffalo, NY. Incised 1885 patent date on underside. Original trap present, but no key. Bank actions work as follows - place a coin in the pony's mouth and pull the lever, causing the pony to deposit coin in feeding trough. Paint shows scattered moderate wear and has darkened w/age, 70% to 80% paint remains. Fine overall.
