Item Description
4x8" on thin paper. 1860. Eagle perched on shield carries a banner in its beak reading "The Equality Of The States Must Be Preserved" w/additional slogan below image "The Constitution And The Equality Of The States These Are The Symbols Of Everlasting Union." Moisture mark at top just left of center and handling wear including vertical fold, edge chipping along lower edge and four less than .5" vertical separations along top edge. VG. A historic and rare ballot from the eve of the Civil War.
