Item Description
Original box w/illustrated lid contains 13.5" tall toy w/vinyl head/hands and feet, fabric outfit and tin litho base. Made in Japan by Nomura Toys/Louis Galoob. c. 1960s. Box shows moderate handling wear w/edge/corner tip creases to lid, but box retains its shape and remains free of splits. Fine overall. This is the second version of this classic toy, referred to as the "Mod Monster." Instead of usual Frankenstein Monster-style clothes, this monster wears Nehru jacket (missing medallion necklace, easily replaced). Base design differs slightly from the earlier version as well. Toy works. Frankenstein produces a screeching noise as he moves his upper body and arms. His pants then fall to expose underwear as his face lights red as if embarrassed. Clean and VF.
