Item Description
19" tall complete assembled model w/professionally done paint job. This is one of the built-up kits issued directly by Aurora to stores for promotional purposes. ©1964. Exceptionally detailed and highlighted by detailing to "rope" belt and air-brushing to the tombstone base w/first two letters of "Frankenstein" name. The largest figure kit Aurora ever released, it was designed by Marvin Glass who also designed Mr. Machine, Mousetrap and the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots among others. Affectionately referred to in the hobby as "Big Frankie" this kit is considered to be the holy grail of Aurora models by most collectors (see unassembled, boxed model kit, following item #2095). "Small Shirt Pc. #5" is a replacement that has been painted lt. gray as noted on the instruction sheet. Model is o/w 100% as factory-painted and issued. Exc. Highly sought after as a factory-produced example. These store display models are rare, and this is the first example of this display model we've offered in our 51 years.
