12x16.5" single-sided glossy paper poster designed for display in schools. Institute For American Democracy, Inc. ©1950 Nat'l Comics Pub., Inc. Poster features great art by noted Superman comic book artist Wayne Boring depicting Superman standing amongst group of children including African-American boy and Asian boy, word balloon reading "...And Remember, Boys And Girls, Your School - Like Our Country - Is Made Up Of Americans Of Many Different Races, Religions And National Origins. So..." and continues underneath "...If You Hear Anybody Talk Against A Schoolmate Or Anyone Else Because Of His Religion, Race Or National Origin - Don't Wait: Tell Him That Kind Of Talk Is Un-American." Bottom has banner w/"Help Keep Your School All-American!" text. Horizontal fold at center as issued w/just lt. scattered handling wear and some minor rippling below image area. Still bright, glossy and Exc. overall. Very rare, w/only a few examples known, this just the second example we've offered in our 51 years. Our last example (from the Franco Toscanini Collection) was in much lesser condition and sold for $4,600 in our July 2016 auction. Amazing patriotic Superman poster w/a message that still rings true today.
