Gilberton. "Classics Illustrated Giants" #1. These giant editions, all with new front and back covers, were advertised from Oct. 1949 to Feb. 1952. They were 50¢ on the newsstand and 60¢ by mail. They are actually four Classics in one volume. All the stories are reprints of the "Classics Illustrated" Series. Reprints numbers 6 ("A Tale Of Two Cities'), 7 ("Robin Hood"), 8 ("Arabian Nights"), and 10 ("Robinson Crusoe"). H.C. Kiefer cover. Cream to off-white pages. Rare.
