Item Description
Pair of 6-3/8x8.5" high relief thin Vacuform plastic Halloween masks. First has been completely hand-painted and is marked "Original" in black marker on inside, Collegeville's way of identifying it as a unique prototype. From Collegeville's late 1960s DC Comics/Marvel-inspired superhero costumes, this mask for The Bat owing an obvious debt to Batman. Some minor scattered paint flakes but VF overall w/just a few tiny scattered edge cracks. Unique. Comes w/production mask. These masks were made into the 1970s and were later updated w/large image of bat across forehead in attempt to distance from the Batman similarities. Exc.
