Item Description
Lot includes solid 8x10.25" high relief heavy cast metal injection mold for 1964 "Flipper" Collegeville Halloween mask. "Flipper" name and "2-65" date written in marker on forehead. Scattered dust soiling and aging. VF overall. Lot also includes pair of high relief thin Vacuform plastic Halloween masks that have both been completely hand-painted. One notes "Showroom Model" as written on inside of mask. This is silver/white version w/black accents that was not used in the production of masks. Other is silver/white/blue version w/separate blue piece stapled to top. This was also not as produced, and second version comes w/separate silver piece to cover blue section on top of head. Both prototypes have some scattered edge wear including small cracks, Fine/VF. Final piece in lot is boxed production "Flipper" Halloween costume. Mask has small 1/8" edge crack and both it and one-piece costume (size medium 8-10) have some scattered aging. Fine overall. Box shows moderate wear and just comes along. A truly one-of-a-kind lot for the "Flipper" collector. From the Collegeville Archives (see other Collegeville items throughout the auction).
