Item Description
In our last auction we offered a 1.25" dia. beautifully designed multicolor from the late 1930s showing Donald Duck as an English Grenadier guard, complete w/cork-popping rifle. That variety was captioned "Granadiers Club" w/the image/name making a pun on the name of the club sponsor "Granada Cinema." This auction we are offering this "Rangers Club" button featuring Donald as a cowboy, complete w/lasso. Top curl reads "By Permission Of Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Ltd." Button is evenly aged w/some surface wear including two small indents by Donald's head/neck while most is only visible in reflected light. Back has majority of silver flashing missing due to aging. Some scattered rim staining. Front remains bright and glossy w/strong color. Fine overall. While the "Granadiers Club" button is rare (we have only offered it five times), this button is even rarer, being the first example we've offered in our 51 years.
