27x41" poster for original release of the 1975 Universal Pictures classic features ominous art center by Roger Kastel showing image of girl swimming w/giant shark rushing up from the depths towards her w/its toothy mouth open. Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss, top of poster has "The Terrifying Motion Picture From The Terrifying No. 1 Best Seller" promotional text. Top margin has text "When In Southern California Visit Universal Studios Tour" text. Folded as issued w/pinch creases and aging along fold lines; 4.5" crease at center left. Small splits at fold crease intersections. Pin holes at corners, which have some creases. Bottom margin shows large area of obvious moisture staining w/some age spotting. VG overall.
