Item Description
8.5x11" printed letter dated Oct. 25, 1940. A number of different letters were issued, this example mentions participation in "Superman Day" at the 1940 New York World's Fair and notes participant received two complimentary passes to "Superman Adventure" show at Macy's Herald Square in New York City. Letter also mentions Macy's Toyland and Santa Claus. Nice small image of Superman in upper right-hand corner and "S" shield symbol at bottom center by facsimile Superman signature. Bottom margin lists sponsors - Superman Inc., Journal American, WOR Radio 710 (New York) and Leader Novelty. Folded twice as mailed but o/w Exc. Scarce. Comes w/pair of 2.5x4" "Complimentary Admission" ticket stubs for show at New York City Macy's Toyland (see full ticket, following item #1885). Both have "E - MHS" high school stamped imprints on front but are o/w Exc. Franco Toscanini Collection.
