Item Description
Original 10.75x13.75" photo on high quality textured photographic paper w/matte finish shows silent film star and United Artist co-founder Mary Pickford, who is depicted whispering in the ear of a Charlotte Clark Mickey Mouse doll. Photo was taken in June 1930. Pickford, a long time Mickey Mouse fan, made arrangements to purchase all unsold copies of "Mickey Mouse Magazine" from newsstands in order to distribute them to hospitalized children. This item was likely a studio presentation photo. Photo has some rippling and is evenly aged. Two pin holes at top center margin, one w/small pull. Faint .5x1" spot of staining by Pickford's elbow. Fine/VF overall. Rare original photo. First we've offered in our 51 years.
