8-7/8x12.25x3.25" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains near complete set by Marx, ©1960 WDP. Box shows moderate corner tip/edge wear to lid. One side lid panel has heavy wear, w/ 2x3.75" piece of surface paper reattached. VG but still nice for display. Playset consists of translucent green plastic base, translucent clear plastic walls/towers/drawbridge parts w/thin metal chains and counterweights for operating drawbridge. Set also comes w/Three Little Pigs' houses, hard plastic cave/mountain, various plant and rock accessories. illustrated paper character flags (for placement at top of castle towers) mounted to thin wire rods, bridge and wall pieces, two siege catapults and instruction sheet. Set also comes w/41 different hand-painted hard plastic figures ranging in size from .75" to 1.75" tall. Some characters include - Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Three Caballeros, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Pinocchio Bambi, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, etc. Figures have some scattered paint wear but are VF overall. Other contents show traces of aging/wear w/tape staining/aging to tallest castle tower, which also has two halves taped together. Fine to VF overall. Missing paper playmat. Extensive and interesting 1960s set.
