About 11x15". c. 1922. Text below headline reads "Do You Know That The United States Is the Only Land On Earth Where Human Beings Are Burned At The Stake?" Among the additional statistics given are "83 Women Have Been Lynched In The United States" and "3436 People Have Been Lynched, 1889 to 1922." Produced in New York to advance efforts to pass legislation making lynching illegal. Top right and left corners each have small losses and light brown damp stains. Otherwise paper is slightly wavy w/scattered damp stains and moderate handling wear. VG. A powerful and rare artifact of the African American experience in America.
