Item Description
Lot of six high quality and all felt dolls (including eyes), ranging from 6.75" to 11" tall. Made by famous Italian doll company Lars, early 1950s. Dolls are nicely designed and executed and include - Tramp, Jock, Pedro, Toughy, Bull and Boris. Five of the six are complete w/original hanging string tag marked "Lars - Made In Italy" w/Italian Disney copyright text (only Boris is missing tag) on one side w/handwritten names/price on the other in ink. Lars never obtained a license to import their Disney dolls to the US, and as such all are scarce. Dolls have lt. even aging and trace of insect damage to Toughy's snout (w/two tiny holes) and at top of Boris's neck (w/two tiny holes) and Jock has spot of wear on hind leg and some insect damage to back of one ear but o/w all stand well and remain nice for display. Bull has some lt. wear to a few spots. Dolls are Fine to VF/Exc. overall. Tags shows some aging/wear and are Fine overall. From a rare Lars series and a very rare opportunity to obtain this many at once.
