Item Description
9" tall. c. 1936. Great early depiction of Donald Duck w/long bill and movable head and legs. Doll has some lt. aging w/some very minor craze lines, most noticeable to tip of bill and edges of hat. .25" area of paint wear at base of neck, can be positioned out of sight and stands for display. This version differs from Knickerbocker's Donald Duck Bandleader doll in that legs are yellow, not orange like bill (this is as produced) and hat and shirt are of lighter shade of blue (as produced). Some surface flakes to tip of bill and wear at neck and tops of legs by moving parts. Typical crazing to feet. Neck has 1/8" stabilized crack. Fine/VF overall. Nicer example than usually found and w/no restoration. Classic Donald Duck doll.
