Item Description
9.5x16x2.25" deep cardboard/wood box w/illustrated lid label contains largest Snow White bisque set made in Japan, c. 1938. A similar but smaller musician set was also produced. Lid has two side panels missing and corner creases. Some moisture staining at center of lid label. Box bottom is missing about one third of paper label on edges, but box is complete w/dividers. VG overall. 6.5" tall Snow White, while Dwarfs are each about 4.25" tall. Snow White stands in pose w/her arms raised to her chest while each Dwarf (w/names incised on front of hats) is depicted playing a different instrument. Few tiny paint rubs as made but set retains clean and fresh appearance displaying as nicely as the day they were produced. Choice, NM condition, and much nicer than typically found. Rare as boxed.
