Item Description
8.25x8.25x3.75" deep box w/illustrated lid contains 6" tall by 7" dia. mostly tin litho and plastic toy w/three-dimensional tin litho Dumbo figures w/intact rubber tails. Marx, early 1960s. Box lid features illustration of toy being used by Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. Box is complete w/die-cut cardboard insert and instructions. Corner tip/edge wear w/remnants of price sticker on one side panel. Box remains tight and Fine overall. Built-in key at top of carousel's central pole complete w/"To Wind" cardboard tag still in place (additional key included). When Dumbo (w/trailing wire/striker attachment) passes over one of the seven tin litho keys inside carousel track/base, a musical note is heard. An eighth key is fiberboard as produced. Tin litho carousel umbrella top has images of Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Base of carousel has images of the Three Little Pigs playing music. Bright and glossy w/just lt. wear. NM, old store stock. As nice as these come. Rare.
