Item Description
18x22" w/ "Graphic Arts Of Marin Inc" at bottom left. c. 1969. Art signed in print "Emory" and features five armed revolutionary fighters; two African Americans and one each Asian, Latin American and Native American. Additional text in "Chairman Mao" quote at top reads "We Do Not Want War; But War Can Only Be Abolished Through War And In Order To Get Rid Of The Gun It Is Necessary To Take Up The Gun." Additional text along bottom includes; "Emory Revolutionary Artist" at left and "Ministry Of Information Black Panther Party Box 2967 Customs House S.F. Calif., 94126 Phone (415) 364-4013" at right. Six tape stains in the outer margins and scattered light brown toning. Right side and reverse have light age toning. Fine. The first example we have encountered of this rare poster.
