Item Description
Buttons are 1.5" to 3.5". Group leads off with only known vintage  button (a real photo, no dot screen) to show Alan Shepard the first American astronaut launched in 1961. A single pinpoint black dot on right as made, otherwise Mint. Next is for John Glenn, first to orbit Earth in 1962. Next seven buttons are all from 1960s launches and include: Carpenter, Cooper (with VF ribbon), Young/Grisson "Molly Brown" (first two man launch) , McDivitt/White (first space walk), first flight around moon (two smudges as made), first moon landing, scarce Apollo XII (second moon landing), a 1975 US/Soviet space station button and a memorial button for the Challenger crew that includes teacher Christa McAuliffe. All Exc. to Mint except as noted.
