Item Description
3.5x8x5" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key. Marx. ©1930 Correll & Gosden. Toy is complete and all original including horseshoe hood ornament, crank, windshield and separate tin litho figures of Amos, Andy and their dog. Car's body has related text including "Fresh Air Taxi Cab Co. Of America, Inc." name plus "Check And Double Check," etc. Car has simulated wear and tear such as dents and dings, patched tires as well as mud splashed on fenders and running boards. Toy was designed to travel forward before coming to a stop, then shake, causing the figures of Amos and Andy to bounce up and down before resuming forward motion. Works well. Toy shows just lt. wear w/a few tiny scratches/nicks, but remains bright, glossy and VF. Classic wind-up toy.
