Item Description
Lot of four 3x4" shield-shaped patches w/silk-screened designs. © Fawcett Publications Inc. Four color "Captain Marvel" patch features "Shazam" magic word. Issued 1945 and rarer than others in this lot. Even moderate aging. Trace remnants of backing material. Fine overall. Other three patches are from 1946 and feature flying image of Captain Marvel set against large lightning bolt, Captain Marvel Jr. and Mary Marvel on blue bkg. (both were also produced w/green bkg.). Fronts of Captain Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. remain bright and clean w/most of backing material intact. VF overall. Mary Marvel patch has some age spotting and retains about 50% of backing material. Fine.
