Item Description
1940s pair. 4" dia. stiff paper premium consists of pair of disks fastened at center w/rivet. Top disc has Captain Marvel sending out code while rim has portraits and comic book ads for "Spy Smasher, Bulletman, Captain Midnight, Captain Marvel Junior" w/Fawcett Comics promotional text. Second disc has "True-Code" letters which are visible through die-cut opening. Faint crease to turning tab, but o/w NM. Scarce. 7x10" premium picture on stiff glossy paper has facsimile signature "Best Wishes - Your Pal, Captain Marvel." Blank reverse variety w/"Captain Marvel Appears Monthly In Whiz Comics" text at bottom. Thin top margin as originally printed, not trimmed. Minor corner creases, but picture remains bright and clean. VF.
