Item Description
Here is an outstanding, large, 2.25" tall figural brass pin of Mickey with small text on reverse "Reg. No. 8249" which we estimate to be c. 1930-1932 given the hands on hips classic pose, pie-cut eyes and long nose. Reverse has hinged horizontal pin with the loop to hold the pin point bent over but still somewhat functioning to hold the pin shaft in place. We are fearful an attempt to straighten  the loop would result in it snapping off so we feel best to leave as is since it is irrelevant visually. On the flat brass, the front of Mickey has tiny stipple marks which pattern his ears, nose, arms, upper body, legs and tail. This contrasts with the other smooth surfaces on his face, pants (one small button, one large button) and shoes. Surface has some very small scratches and luster color/tone varies slightly but with about 90% luster intact. A great image in an exceptionally large size. Only example known to us. Rare.
