Item Description
18x23.75" litho on paper w/"Copyright 1900 By George Black" in field at bottom center. Lists seven candidates for NY office at bottom center including "Governor, John B. Stanchfield." Design features large banner w/portraits of candidates flanking a clock w/hands, labeled "Masses" and "Classes," set 16 minutes to 1 o'clock. Multiple slogans and issues including "Control Of The Nicaragua Canal"; "US Senators Elected By The People", "Monroe Doctorine" and more. Additional portraits include Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Jackson. Red has even fading throughout but remains legible. Left edge trimmed affecting base of the pole at left. Damp stain at top left corner, a .25" chip of missing paper at top just right of center and a less than 1" vertical tear in lower margin. Technically VG but will display Fine once framed. Loaded w/great content and rarely offered this poster is a standout Bryan artifact.
