Item Description
7.5x9.25". Header design features an eagle perched atop a lockbox "Sound Currency" and a portrait of Van Buren w/slogan "Honor To Who Honor Is Due." Additional text invites "J C Scott Esq. And Lady" to the event "Given By D. Howell At The Rockford House, Rockford, Winnebago County, Ill." in March 1841 "In Honor Of The Able And Enlightened Administration Of Martin Van Buren." Two vertical and one horizontal fold. Otherwise only moderate age toning and handling wear. Fine. Material for Van Buren is notoriously scarce and this is no exception. First we've seen in our 52 years.
