Item Description
1940s. Large and impressive 36x176" glazed fabric banner for display in factory or store features central image of horned Hitler cringing in pain as he is punched in the jaw by large fist w/America's Increased War Production" text on fingers. Large banner text reads "Eat To Beat The Devil! w/smaller "U.S. Needs Us Strong - The Right Foods Keep You Fit!" text below. Corners and top/bottom edges have brass grommets as made for hanging display. Banner was made by Servel, Inc., noted as "Peacetime Manufacturers Of The Servel Gas Refrigerator" who was also a major contractor during World War II, producing aviation parts. Fold lines as folded and stored over the years w/some pin holes and faint markings as tacked up for display. Still VF overall and very visually impressive. Rare and first we've seen in our 52 years.
