Item Description
11x12.75x3.5" deep window box containing production Fire Demon costume. This is from rare 1960s series of Collegeville Halloween costumes that feature battery-operated Vacuform masks (Fire Demon was later produced w/o battery feature. Box has "Fire Demon" side panel stamp. Lid window has "With Flasher Lite Mask" label and is completely loose but included. Box shows moderate handling wear/aging and is VG/Fine overall. Mask has single small lightbulb at top center which is attached to wires that lead to cardboard battery case. Light works. Mask also features reflective paint accents for nighttime use. .5" spot of staining at lower left, but o/w mask is Exc. Size large (12-14) costume features image of devil in flames and shows typical aging/wear w/a few .5" to 1" splits on front of costume, though these are not overly distracting and costume still displays VF. Comes w/two-sided retailer's promotional sales sheet showing costumes in Collegeville's 1961 assortment, including two other totally different devil costumes as well as "Cemetery Pete" ghost, "Devil Cat," skeleton, witch, etc. Sheet is evenly aged and o/w Exc.
