Item Description
20" tall (21" tall including felt cowboy hat) doll is unmarked but is shown in vintage catalogs as by Ideal. c. 1950. Ideal also produced a Hopalong Cassidy doll in an even larger, 25" tall size. Head (w/painted features) and hand are soft vinyl while body is stuffed fabric including cotton rayon jacket and heavy corduroy pants. Leatherette boots and wide vinyl belt w/1-3/8" dia. white metal "Hopalong Cassidy" sheriff star buckle. Fabric scarf complete w/white metal steerhead slide. Jacket has white metal "Junior Sheriff" star in place and doll comes w/3.75" long white metal gun (which is rarely found unbroken). Hat is missing yellow cardboard band w/his name and is a bit out of shape w/tiny brim cut, but o/w doll is complete and in exceptional, Exc. condition. Scarce. Comes w/9" tall hand puppet w/pliable rubber head and felt hands on cloth body. Copyright symbol on back of neck. 1950s. Puppet has some lt. dust soiling but is o/w VF.
