Item Description
Original mailing envelope w/"Radio's Little Orphan Annie" return address contains 11.75x17" Whitman No. 970, ©1938 WDE. Envelope has obvious surface paper wear w/small tears/splits and scattered moisture staining. Original mailing label intact. VG. Issued as both a store item and also by Ovaltine as a Little Orphan Annie premium, this is the premium version w/punch-outs on front/back covers plus six pages including Snow White, Seven Dwarfs, animals and accessories. Small trace of corner tip/edge wear w/pinch creases to spine. Book remains totally clean and unused, all pieces intact, though w/a few loose perforations. Cover remains bright, clean and Fine/VF. Contents have aged margins and a couple small tears at edges, none affecting cut-outs. VF. Comes w/3.5x5" typed slip of paper explaining that this more expensive book was sent in lieu of Whitman P-77 (see previous item), which ran out due to demand. Rarely found w/envelope/note. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Disney Collectibles" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
