Item Description
Large 8" tall (12" to top of thick wire handle) tin litho container/pail. Made in Liverpool, England by E.T. Gee & Sons, mid-1920s. This company also produced a smaller Felix toffee container w/same images, but this larger piece features not one but two bands of tiny walking Felix figures at top and bottom w/sides having two different Felix scenes. One is beach w/Felix family posing for photograph while other shows Felix riding horse through fence as angry boy chases them. Exterior of pail has all over pinpoint spots of aging w/wear along seam and some scattered paint nicks/scratches. Top rim has some moderate wear to flashing and bottom rim is missing all flashing and has shallow .75" edge dent. Interior has some trace oxidation along bottom edges. Fine overall.
