Item Description
3.75" tall painted and glazed china ashtray w/matching pair of long-billed Donald Duck figures standing side-by-side, one w/his arm around the other at back. Made in Japan, mid-1930s w/incised Disney copyright on backs. There were a number of china ashtrays of Disney characters made in the 1930s - Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Three Little Pigs, etc. but this Donald Duck is the rarest and most graphic of them all w/wonderful iridescent ashtray finish. Exc. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Disney Collectibles" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
