Item Description
Exquisite hand-decorated porcelain sculpture atop wood base has overall size of 7x11x9" tall. Sculpted by Enzo Arzenton. He first started producing sculptures for the Laurenz Disney Collection in 1983 and continued to do so until he retired in 1999, production on all Disney pieces then ceased. This piece was first released in 1986, issued at $820. The production run was supposed to be 5,000 pieces, but as with nearly every piece in this line, final production was much more limited. This particular piece had just 955 produced. Marked "N473" on underside of base. Sculpture perfectly reproduces the classic image of Mickey Mouse as The Sorcerer's Apprentice, bringing to life a broom to carry buckets of water. Back of the piece has company markings and incised artist signature. Does not come w/original box or COA but sculpture is Mint as issued. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Disney Collectibles" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
