Item Description
3.25x5.5". Candidate's portraits are featured in a striking American shield w/eagle at top and text at right inviting the recipient to a campaign event "To Be Held In The Parlors Of The First M.E. Church" on "Friday Eve. Oct. 1, 1920." Signed in print at conclusion "Lynn B. Griffith," likely the grandfather of early APIC member Judge Lynn B. Griffith. Typical age toning at edges and minor rounding of corners. Otherwise extremely clean w/no tears or creases. VF. A prized political postcard that features one of the most graphic images from the notoriously drab 1920 Democratic campaign. This rare postcard is consigned by legendary postcard expert Hal Ottaway who considered it one of the prizes of his collection.
