Item Description
13" dia. by 5-7/8" tall; the largest of three sizes produced by Noble & Cooley, who produced many different Mickey Mouse toy instruments. 1930s. Tin litho body w/linen-like fabric drumheads. Body features nice wrap-around scene featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle Cow and Pluto, who has a large "Mickey Mouse Band" drum strapped to his back. Has original string binding and die-cut leather accent pieces. Drumheads have some dust soiling/aging and some scattered age spotting to bottom. Top drumhead has 5/8" tear/puncture but rest is free of tears/splits. Top/bottom rims have some scattered wear and a few minor indents. Illustrated body shows moderate aging w/a few shallow dents to rims and body. Fine overall. Scarce.
