Item Description
7-7/8" tall (12" tall to top of raised handle) tin litho. Ohio Art Co., 1930s. One of the earliest Ohio Art Disney sand pails, featuring great wrap-around beach scene features Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle Cow and Dippy Dawg (Goofy). Exterior is evenly aged and has scattered denting and some small spot of oxidation. Rims also exhibit some oxidation and interior of pail shows moderate scattered wear/oxidation, more obvious at inside bottom. VG overall but still nice for display. This is the actual example shown in the Wengel's book "Comic Character Metal Sand Toys."
