Item Description
Pair of approx. 20x28" posters featuring striking "Loose Talk" designs. First has art by Stevan Dohanos and features hand w/Nazi swastika ring putting together puzzle. Text reads "Bits Of Careless Talk Are Pieced Together By The Enemy" and shows puzzle pieces that when assembled read "Convoy Sails For England Tonight." 1943. Text at bottom reads "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1943-O-563414" and "Distributed By OWI For The Issuing Agencies." Folded as issued w/lt. wear along fold lines. Poster has been linen-mounted and is ready for display. Would display VF framed. Second features image of sad dog below Gold Star, indicating his owner has died in combat, further evidenced by the "...Because Somebody Talked!" text. Art bears Wesley artist signature at lower right. Text at bottom reads "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1944-O-579038" and "Distributed By The Issuing Agencies By The Office Of War Information." Folded as issued but displays Exc. as linen-mounted.
