Item Description
Pair of figural painted plaster novelties depicting Hitler w/his rear to be stabbed by either pins or toothpicks. 1940s. 6.25" tall w/large cloth pincushion on his rear has incised "Stick A Pin In The Axis" text on front of base. Rarer and more detailed than the commonly seen "Hotzi Notzi" pincushion featuring a similar design. Original felt covering on bottom. Pincushion has even moderate aging and some scattered wear from use. Some tiny paint flakes to base. Fine/VF. 4.25" tall features exaggerated rear end w/20 holes for inserting toothpicks. Figure is nicely formed for viewing display from any angle. Unmarked. Figure originally came with tag that called him "Porky" because he's 'stuck up' like a porcupine. Some lt. wear by holes, one of which has toothpick broken off inside. Still displays Exc. Great surprised design. Scarce.
