Item Description
Pair of 1.25" dia. cello buttons that were sent to respondents who voted in an Ovaltine-sponsored contest indicating their preference as to whether Ovaltine should be served w/ice or ice cream. Voters preferring ice received the Orphan Annie button and those preferring ice cream received the Joe Corntassel button. Button design contains name of character creator Harold Gray. Very early Little Orphan Annie radio premiums. Parisian Novelty Co. as marked on curl of each. 1931. Typical wear to silver finish on backs. Fronts show just lt. wear in reflected light and remains bright, glossy and Exc. for display.
