Item Description
Lot of six Straight Arrow items, all ©1949 Nabisco. 7.75x9.5x1.25" deep box contains "10 Different, Action, Indian Scenes. 63 Large Pieces Of Each/Individually Packaged Puzzle." While box contains 10 puzzles, there were 12 in this series as noted on individual packaged puzzles within box. Box is missing lid's cellophane window and shows 1" tear to lid side panel and 2" partial edge split. Underside of lid has stamped name/address. Box is VG. Each puzzle features a illustration by Fred L. Meagher and each is individually packed in an envelope w/cellophane window. Various degrees of margin aging and wear to envelopes, including some tears. Five remain sealed, others have been cut or opened along right edge. VG to Exc. Puzzles also have some lt. varying degrees of wear but all complete and VF to NM. A rare boxed set. Comes w/individual envelope w/different puzzle scene. Envelope has some scattered moisture staining and handling wear but remains sealed. VG/Fine. Puzzle is complete and displays Exc. through window. Comes w/four 7.75x9.75" painted wooden frames that each contain different illustrations matching the puzzles w/original clear plastic overlays. These comprise a set used to promote the puzzles, back of each frame reading "Stock No. 361 - Straight Arrow Framed Picture One Of A Series Of Twelve - The Advertisers Service Div., Inc. - New York, N.Y." Two of the frames have yellowed slightly. VF overall. Rare promotional pieces.
